Our client is an established corporate finance advisory firm headquartered in Botswana with an international footprint and operations expanding into global markets. With nearly a decade of operational history, the firm specializes in corporate finance consulting and capital raising for businesses worldwide, supporting companies seeking significant investment funding.

Due to growth and increasing deal flow, our client is seeking experienced Corporate Finance Advisors to join their Botswana office. This role focuses on business-to-business advisory and capital raising solutions, engaging directly with senior decision-makers including CEOs, Managing Directors, and founders.

The firm provides advisors with professional infrastructure, training, and operational support while allowing them to develop and manage high-value corporate relationships.


The Role

Corporate Finance Advisors will focus on identifying companies seeking investment capital and introducing them to the firm’s capital raising solutions.

Advisors work directly with senior business leaders to assess funding requirements and introduce tailored corporate financing strategies.

Typical mandates involve capital raises of up to USD $30 million or more across a variety of sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research companies seeking growth capital or strategic investment.
  • Develop relationships with senior decision-makers including CEOs, founders, and directors.
  • Promote corporate financing solutions to potential clients.
  • Generate and qualify leads through professional networking, outreach, and market research.
  • Arrange and attend discovery meetings with prospective corporate clients.
  • Conduct preliminary client assessments and coordinate onboarding documentation (including KYC where required).
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting.
  • Work closely with internal teams to progress funding mandates.

 

Candidate Profile

Ideally you will have strong commercial acumen and experience dealing with senior corporate stakeholders.
Although this is not a traditional IFA / investment advisory role where financial products are sold, this is NOT a back-office number crunching type role and you SHOULD be able to convert and close business.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ professional experience
  • Strong B2B sales or relationship management background
  • Ability to engage with C-suite executives and business owners

Preferred Background
Experience in one or more of the following areas is advantageous:

  • Corporate finance
  • Investment banking
  • Commercial banking
  • Mergers & acquisitions
  • Debt advisory
  • Capital markets
  • Private equity or investment advisory
  • Having a sales background

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Engage with 100+ corporate prospects daily through outreach and networking
  • Schedule at least 10 qualified meetings per week
  • Ensure 100% NDA compliance for scheduled meetings
  • Conduct preliminary KYC assessments for qualified prospects
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and reporting records

 

Compensation

  • 15% commission on successful projects
  • Typical project retainer fees start from USD $50,000
  • Significant earning potential based on deal origination and conversion

Total potential income from just one project you secure = U$ 7500 or approximately P101,000 BWP.

This is currently a commission-only position, however:

  • Top performers may be offered permanent roles and leadership opportunities
  • Career progression available following successful probation and performance review
